Sarasota County Area Transit (SCAT)
Sarasota County Area Transit (SCAT) serves more than 6,000 riders daily on fixed routes throughout Sarasota County. Its mission is to provide safe and courteous transportation service in an accountable and timely manner.

iTNSunCoast
ITNSunCoast (ITN) is a local, nonprofit transportation service that provides rides to individuals 60+ and vision-challenged adults of any age.
ITN’s mission is to help individuals maintain their independence and live joyful and meaningful lives through a convenient, reliable and affordable transportation option when driving a car themselves is not sensible or safe.
- Rides are available for any reason, 24-hours a day, 365 days a year to anywhere within Sarasota and Manatee Counties.
- Rides are provided by a combination of volunteer and paid drivers who offer true door-to-door service.
- Destinations have often included going to religious services, grocery shopping, fitness classes, doctor’s appointments, bridge or mahjong events, restaurants, hair appointments, etc.
- There is a nominal membership fee and each rider maintains a prepaid account where the cost of the ride is debited, meaning no cash is exchanged and tipping is not expected or accepted. Riders may utilize the service as often as they wish.
