Why can’t we all just get along?
We all face conflict at some point in our lives. How we deal with the situation and our reactions play a large part in the outcome.
Deputy Brian Keane of the Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office discusses how to turn negative communication into positive by:
- Understanding physiological changes during aggression
- Employing effective verbal de-escalation strategies
- Learn how to redirect thought process through positive direction
- Learn communication and physical strategies to de-escalate situations
- Identify when conflict is escalating and harmful
- Learn how to use cognitive limitations for active diffusion
This is a new program developed by the Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office.
