We never know when a severe storm or natural disaster will affect our home and community.
Dr. Maria Portelos-Rometo, PhD University of Florida and Sarasota County Sustainability Programs, brings her experience and
practical solutions to preparing for emergencies. She will address food safety, maintaining personal hygiene,
along with basic emergency disaster planning tips.
Dr. Portelos-Rometo co-authored Sarasota County’s emergency response protocols.
A question and answer session will follow her presentation.
