Meadows resident, Felicia Liban, born in Krakow, Poland, recalls how she and her mother escaped from the ghetto, and lived in hiding with a Christian family to evade Nazis imprisonment. Learn more of Felicia’s story here.
The Holocaust was the systematic murder of Europe’s Jews by the Nazis and their collaborators during the Second World War. This program of targeted mass murder was a central part of the Nazis’ broader plans to create a new world order based on their ideology. Children were especially vulnerable to Nazi persecution. Felicia shares her story of life as a child during the Nazi occupation and her journey out of the shadows.
