8 New Pickleball Courts Are Now Open For Play!

 

EXCITING NEWS FROM THE COURTS!

Thank you to Chris Perone, Board President, Ned Boston, MCA Pickleball Committee Chair, MCA Pickleball Committee and everyone who joined in the grand opening of the 8 new pickleball courts held on June 10th with a ribbon cutting ceremony.

                  

The new courts are looking spectacular and have been thoughtfully designed for easy access from both sides.
To help maintain their excellent condition, please remember: nothing should be placed directly on the painted court surface.
Many players find it helpful to attach a “D” hook to their bags and hang them on the fence—this is a great way to keep gear off the courts and organized.
As temperatures continue to rise, don’t forget to stay hydrated!
We look forward to seeing many blue Meadows Pickleball t-shirts out on the courts and around the community. Let’s play!

PICKLEBALL COMMITTEE

Ned Boston is the Pickleball Committee Chair.  Curt Reimer, Tennis and Pickleball Pro who also manages CourtReserve, will provide valuable expertise.

Joining Ned and Curt Reimer on this committee are Ros Stafford, Gery Baar, Cheri Nugent, Jeff Siet and Chris Perrone.

PICKLEBALL CHARTER

MEADOWS COMMUNITY ASSOCIATION PICKLEBALL COMMITTEE CHARTER

The Pickleball committee will be chaired by a member of the community and be appointed by the President of the MCA Board of Directors. The Pickleball Courts are owned and operated by the Meadows Community Association (MCA) for the enjoyment of Renaissance Access Cardholders. The committee will have a Board Liaison also appointed by the President of the Board of Directors.

The Committee Members will be comprised of volunteers from the Community.

The purpose of the committee is to support and encourage the sport of Pickleball within the Meadows community.

Specific Actions of the Committee include:

    • Recruit members to volunteer annually.
    • Develop, publish, and implement rules and procedures for the use of the Pickleball Courts.
    • Educate the Meadows community on the availability of clinics, lessons, and other Pickleball activities and events.
    • Represent the Pickleball community’s requests to the Board and vice versa through frequent communications.
    • Share feedback, ideas and experiences with MCA for future consideration.
    • Make recommendations to the General Manager of the MCA and the MCA Board of Directors for final approval and implementation.
